Reporting to the General Manager, the Team Member provides top of the line service to Sbarro guests in an enthusiastic, friendly, outgoing, clean and safe manner. While each team member is hired for a primary position (such as Waitress/Cashier, Pizza Maker, Cook/Steamer, Dishwasher), due to fluctuations in sales volume at any given restaurant and various station responsibilities, You can ask each team member to assist in the performance of other job duties. It is desirable that each team member be cross-trained in each role.

Duties:

Server/ Cashier

  • You must serve guests within your assist station, following prescribed methods and within prescribed standards for guest service. This includes greeting, upselling through purchase suggestions to customers, proper service procedure, checking customer satisfaction against established standards for customer satisfaction, and adherence to recipes. .
  • Maintains product knowledge, knows the ingredients, presentation, price of all menu items and special offers.
  • Receive payment for all transactions following the prescribed methods and with the prescribed standards for guest service
  • Follow all required procedures outlined in the cash handling policy
  • Demonstrates full working knowledge of the point of sale registration system
  • Completes housekeeping and storage tasks in accordance with the appropriate daily operating procedure
  • Practices food safety and sanitation standards required for food service establishments.
  • Follows stored cost control systems, including employee food policy and waste guidelines
  • Help other team members when needed
  • Responsible for proper use of gloves, utensils, and portion size of each item, temperature of hot foods, and attractive presentation of all foods.
  • Communicates in a timely manner with co-workers and management regarding the amount of food available and its quality.

Pizza Maker

  • Prepare all food products according to the specifications outlined in the Recipe Manual and Recipe Cards while using predetermined health and safety procedures.
  • Properly judge the volume of sales in relation to the preparation and production of pizza.
  • Communicates in a timely manner with co-workers and management regarding the amount of food available and its quality.
  • Completes housekeeping and storage tasks in accordance with the appropriate daily operating procedure
  • Practices food safety and sanitation standards required for food service establishments.
  • Follows established food safety time and temperature controls and cost control systems, including employee food policy and waste guidelines.
  • Serves customers within their useful station, following prescribed methods and within prescribed standards for guest service. This includes greeting, upselling through purchase suggestions to customers, proper service procedure, checking customer satisfaction against established standards for customer satisfaction, and adherence to recipes. .

Steam Cook/ Prep

  • Prepare all food products according to the specifications outlined in the Recipe Manual and Recipe Cards while using predetermined health and safety procedures.
  • Operates all station prep equipment safely and hygienically (i.e. knives, steamer, dough machine, pizza oven, stove, etc.)
  • It works independently to prepare the right product according to predetermined production schedules or requirements.
  • Properly maintains all steam table items displayed in accordance with the Recipe Manual and Product Cards, while also complying with local health requirements.
  • Correctly rotate all new and prepared products in a FIFO (first in, first out) fashion
  • Follows established food safety time and temperature controls and cost control systems, including employee food policy and waste guidelines.
  • Responsible for proper use of equipment, gloves, utensils, and portion size of each item, temperature of hot/cold foods, and attractive presentation of all foods.
  • Serves customers within their useful station, following prescribed methods and within prescribed standards for guest service. Dishwasher

  • Keeps sink area, dining room tables and seating, floors, gas stations, restrooms, and trash receptacles, including doors, racks, and shelves, clean and sanitized in accordance with procedures and standards of the restaurant.
  • Cleans and sanitizes all trays, pots, pans, skillets, and other restaurant utensils, with the exception of knives, using prescribed methods and procedures.
  • You may be required to wash, clean and sanitize restaurant storage areas, including freezers and refrigerator, using prescribed methods and procedures.
  • Serves customers as needed within their provided station, following prescribed methods and within prescribed standards for guest service. This includes greeting, service procedures, checking guest satisfaction according to standards
  • Completes housekeeping and storage tasks in accordance with proper operating procedures.
